Every person in Ontario deserves access to mental health supports when they need them, regardless of their income. And with the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s more important than ever that we support Ontarians struggling with mental health needs.
That’s why Terence Kernaghan’s Bill 277 would cover mental health devices and any associated data costs under the ADP so that all Ontarians can access mental health care when they need it.

Research shows that people who lived at home but had access to assistive devices for mental health needs felt more empowered and less isolated in their communities. They reported feeling more independent and it resulted in fewer visits to the hospital.
